Adding the final touch to Lattitude is a new spirit of competitiveness that comes with dividing the group into 4 teams named Albert Einstein, Alexander the Great, Christopher Columbus, Michelangelo.

Freedom to him was above all and for all…
Considered by many to have been the greatest American President, Abraham Lincoln was born on February 12, 1809 to Thomas and Nancy Lincoln. When he was nine Abraham's mother died and his father remarried a kind and gentle lady. Lincoln had to work very hard to gain knowledge and in his own words his childhood was a constant fight with “trees and logs and grubs”. He said that “there was absolutely nothing to excite ambition to education”, however he did go to 'some schools' and learnt to read and write. Before becoming the President of America, he worked as carpenter, a store- keeper and a captain.
Once his law partner said of him, "His ambition was a little engine that knew no rest." There is a story, which says that a little girl of eight told him that if he wanted to win elections he must grow a beard, Lincoln did grow a beard and the rest is history.
As the 16th President of the United States, Abraham Lincoln guided his country through the most devastating experience in its national history--the CIVIL WAR. He disliked slavery in any form and in one of his speeches said that “A Nation should become either all slave or all free.” He believed that peace could only be attained through equality. He married Mary Todd and had four sons. Abraham Lincoln was assassinated on April 14, 1865. He was killed by John Wilkes Boothe when attending an evening performance of 'Our American Cousins', at the Ford Theater. Until the very end Lincoln believed in “malice towards none” and “charity for all”!
His Triumphs: • Freeing the Nation of slavery • Being victorious in the Civil war • His power of oration
