Nutrition Therapy
Nutrition is a process through which food containing nutritive elements, which is required for proper metabolic activities with in the body is given in adequate quantity.
Nutrition in Oncology
Nutrition plays a major role in many aspects of cancer development and treatment. Malnutrition is a common problem in cancer patients that has been recognized as an important component of adverse outcomes, including increased morbidity and mortality and decreased quality of life.
Nutrition in Burns
Among all hospitalized patients, burns patients have been shown to have the greatest increase in metabolic demand. However, the temptation to overfeed those patients must be recognized, as that practice may lead to increased morbidity. Methods for providing nutrition therapy depend on many factors, such as extent and degree of injury and gastrointestinal function.
Nutrition in Critical Illness
Patient nutrition is an often-neglected aspect of the overall management of patients, but 50% of surgical patients suffer protein energy malnutrition. Sepsis, injury and starvation are the main contributors to postoperative morbidity and mortality.
Anesthesia and Pain management

Anesthesia is a reversible loss of consciousness which is classified in to general anesthesia, regional anesthesia and local anesthesia.

Surgical procedures were uncommon before 1846. Modern anesthesia is considered to start from 16 october 1846, when WILLIAM T.G MORTON, a Boston dentist, successfully administered ether to a young man for operating on his neck.

Fluid management
Severely ill patients often have multiple disturbances in fluid and electrolytes that also leads to disturbances in the hydrostatic and colloidal osmotic pressure. Under such circumstances it is frequently necessary to anticipate and correct deficits and imbalances by administration of suitable fluids.
Anti-infective Therapy
Infectious diseases are a continuing danger to all people, no matter what their age, gender, lifestyle, ethnic background, or economic status. They are still one of the most common causes of suffering and death.
