Claris Lifesciences has filed its first patent co-operation treaty (PCT), for novel delivery of biotherapeutic protein, in collaboration with Xcelris Labs, a specially contract research organization. The filing comes within a short time of Claris’ foray into biotechnology. The PCT is distinctly different from a regular patent application, which is global application, granting the applicant rights over the product, all over the world.
